I. Creative practice submissions
(Exhibitions, film, installation, performances, showings, demonstration, intervention, social events and more).
Proposal:
- Follow SIGCHI format / template for extended abstracts.
- Include images that illustrate the proposal clearly, the format and size of the creative practice submission.
- Submit proposal via Easy Chair by January 24, 2017 (extended).
- Each submission will be reviewed by members of the conference program committee through double blind peer review, and authors will be notified of ’acceptance’, ’acceptance with review’, or ’rejection’ by February 20, 2017.
Final Submission
- Send 1-5 digital images all in 300 dpi, at least one in size 18,3 x 25,7cm (larger images can be included for the full spread 36.6 x 25,7cm).
- Ensure each image files are titled as ’YOUR NAME_PHOTOGRAPHY BY NAME’.
- Provide a 2 page paper describing and documenting the creative practice and the format of the submission following SIGCHI format / template.
- All text must be written in English and proofread.
- Submissions must be original work and please note that they will not be published without a signed form releasing publishing copyright to the publisher University of Borås / Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
- Compile all as a ZIP file (maximum 96MB) sent through Easy Chair .
- The final creative practice submission must be submitted by April 20, 2017 at the latest.
- Please complete your registration and go through the payment procedure as soon as possible.
Preparations for creative practice submissions at the conference:
- A detailed floor plan including minimum floor space required, display methods or furniture, dimensions of all components, lighting, audio, power, and network requirements. Include a list of required hardware and software that you will provide. If you have done this prior in the final submissions, you do not need to send this again.
- Ship all exhibition materials by May 19, 2017 or bring your creative practice submission when you arrive before the conference. IMPORTANT: If you bring your creative practice submission with you, installing can start from June 4, 10AM-18PM (the exhibition space will unfortunately be closed June 6 due to a public holiday).
- Your creative practice submission needs to be installed or finalised presentation by June 7, 9:00 AM.

By submitting the artist / designer AGREES:
- To register at least one artist / designer / architect to attend the conference.
- Incur responsibility for the freight and the costs included in the freight procedure to and from the exhibition / performance hall.
- Responsibility for setting up the work in the exhibition / performance space following instructions given by the exhibition committee.
- To deinstall and remove all works and materials from the exhibition / performance space from June 9 (5-6pm).
Creative Practice Catalogue
Accepted work for the exhibition will be presented in an exhibition catalog printed and online. Each project will get 1-3 spreads depending on the quality of the visual material.
II. Paper Submissions
Abstract:
- Follow SIGCHI format / template for extended abstracts.
- Be Submitted via Easy Chair by January 24, 2017 (extended).
- Each submission will be reviewed by members of the conference program committee through double blind peer review and authors will be notified of ’acceptance’, ’acceptance with review’, or ’rejection’ by February 20, 2017.
Full paper submissions :
- Paper should be maximum 8 pages long including references and must be submitted in the SIGCHI format / template .
- The presence of at least one of the authors at the conference is mandatory.
- A camera-ready version of the final paper must be submitted by April 20, 2017 at the latest via Easy Chair
- Please complete your registration and go through the payment procedure as soon as possible.
By submitting a paper, the author (s) agree that, if the paper is accepted they will:
- Register at least one authors to attend the conference and to present the accepted paper.
- When FINALISING the final paper reflect and take on the reviewer’s comments and recommendations.
Submission must be original work and please note that submissions will not be published without a signed form releasing publishing copyright to the publisher University of Borås / RMIT University.
Accepted papers will be printed in the conference proceedings and later published on the conference website.
Conference Proceedings
Printed proceedings, with all accepted submissions, will be ready for the conference.
Presentation at the conference:
Authors will be given 25 minutes to present their work (15 min talk with my 10 questions).
Each submitted paper will be reviewed by members of the conference program committee and authors will be notified of acceptance for presentation or rejection by February 20, 2017.
